How to pay for PlayStation

Cards in PlayStation Store, account region and game or subscription purchases.

Updated

Before paying

Check that the service is available to your account and accepts your chosen card. Universal and Universal+ differ in fees and issuing country; the merchant may apply its own restrictions.

Check the card balance allowing for fees, conversion and verification charges. Use Card Details for the number, expiry and CVV, and SafePay Billing for the holder name and address. Keep the service profile information accurate.

Complete checkout

  1. Sign in to your PlayStation Account and open payment management or Payment Methods in the PlayStation App.
  2. Choose to add a card. Check card and Store-region compatibility, then enter SafePay card and billing details.
  3. Open the intended game or subscription, check the total and renewal terms and complete checkout.

After confirmation

Check transaction history and the library. For a subscription, check renewal in your PlayStation account. For a regional mismatch, follow Sony’s rules and contact its support; correctly entered details do not guarantee card acceptance.

If a 3D Secure request appears, complete the confirmation shown in SafePay, then return to the merchant. Do not pay again while the result is pending. For an error, keep its text, time and amount.
